Tuesday 7th Period The ROOF
Right, this place was off limits, who didn't know? But also; then who'd actually be there? It was a common line of thoughts, at least to Adam, that the place was a place with advantages, even if it was off limits. Actually, the off limits bit was one of the reasons why he thought so highly about it. Also, it let him be alone and he could easily skip PE without being noticed. True, they'd realise he wasn't there, but they wouldn't find him. Good. Who really needed that foolish class anyway? It was a pure waste of time, no matter what the teacher said. And anyway, who'd want to run around, sweating and looking red as a tomato in the face? Well, he didn't categorize himself there at least!
No, Adam Komatsu was currently on the lazy side as he lay on the roof-top, lazily watching the clouds soar by. His brown hair was ruffled so it didn't shade his eyes and some of it was pulled back by his head-phones. Had one short chain with a cross dangling from one ear and wore scottish-patterened pants, a black t-shirt with "The Ramones" printed on it and next to him lay a leather jacket and his guitar-case. In one hand he balanced a cigarette and the other he had behind his head. Nope, not very active now. Humming a bit every now and then as one of his favourite songs might be played on his iPod, yet other than that he remained quiet.
It was what was great with music; you could withdraw to your own little world without stupid and boring people. It was peaceful, relaxing. And best of all; no foolish, braindead jocks to play with Adam's temper. So yes, silence was golden, at least when it only involved music.

Ariadne was bored, after all who really cared about Government anyway. It was just a screwed up system controled by the media. Talk about Lame. The only fun part was that the teacher never seemed to notice that she left after rollcall. One of those nice little perks of setting right next to the door. She climbed up to the roof and smiled as she looked around. It was beautiful up here and one of the only places that no one would look for her if they ever discovered that she had gone missing. Thank god for the populars. It would be the only time she would actually ever even think this but they seemed to be the only ones the teachers actually cared about. Unless of course there was trouble. But right now everything was smooth sailing and she was fine.
She was up on the roof for a few minutes when she noticed that she was not alone. Ariadne turned around and saw Adam laying on the rooftop and she walked over and sat down beside him. "Hey." She said simply as she looked up at the clouds. "What's up?"

Opening one eye as he noted someone sitting down beside him, a smile spread across Adam's lips. "Well, I'm currently up. Here, yeah?" he replied simply, reaching into his pocket to turn of his iPod before he pushed the headphones down so they hung around his neck. "What's up with you? I didn't really see you as the relaxing kind of person, nee?" he continued before placing the cigarette between his lips and inhaling.
Smoking... Such an uncool way to die! But it wasn't as if he'd want to stop either! It seemed to piss off people, which was fun, and it also gave him yet another reason why to be up here, on the roof in bloody 7th period. Of course, he'd be down by next period, as art was fun. But right now? Nah, he'd rather stay up here, perhaps he'd even lean a bit over the edge of the building to look at the other people running laps at the course. Someone ought to give them a medal for sillyness. Seriously, who'd do something like that voulentarily? Adam threw a quick glance over at the girl. He was suppose to know her name, right? Had seen her somewhere before, buut... he wasn't really one to remember people either. But if what he remembered was correct, at least he knew she was a junior, so one point there!

Ariadne sighed, in truth she always wanted to have something to do. It was just that government didn't fall into the category of something she actually liked doing or wanted to have to live through. Nor did any of her classes for the rest of the day for that matter.
"I am contemplating on how I can ditch the next two periods." She said smoothly. She was pretty good at Pre-Cal but it was boring and the teacher could't go a full three seconds without getting on her nerves and well gym was pretty much death. Not because she couldn't do it but because of the simple fact that she didn't want to deal with the students. Besides she got enough excersize on her own time without needing another whole class period of it.
"So what are you up here for, you didn'tseem the type that would actually get up and be here long enough for you to ditch seventh." She stated nonchalantly.

"How to ditch your two next periods? Easy! Go down to the bus-station now, catch a bus to somewhere, or even better, ride it to the last stop, and start walking home. Now, that's the hard version of skipping! Of course, you could mainly stay up here, being lazy," he grinned, shruggin his shoulders. Skipping classes wasn't something he had a record of doing, apart from the whole "I hate PE, it forces me to act like a monkey" attitude he had and the fact that he ditched it. But! It wasn't skipping, it was merely relaxation. It was proved! Cause, well, the options were 1) run around and get sweaty or 2) stay up there an be lazy. Not that hard a choice?
"Up here for? Well, I figured that being here, finishing my last cigarette and watching the stars sounded much more poetic than be pummled around in PE. Cause, well, I might have said a bit too much last period, and I doubt our famous royals enjoyed what I said. Now, that does make me a sissy to some, but I claim to look at it as a wise choice. I don't feel like running around there anyways," it came from him, the cheerful grin still glued to his face.
"So.. don't get this the wrong way, however that might be possible, but who are you really?"

Ariadne turned to look at him and with her most serious expression possible said "I'm a ax murderer and I am here to kill you." thank god for acting it made her able to pull off anything perfectly. "Truly, my name is Ariadne and I am psychodic and I hate pys-ed too. Only for me it is just because of the damn populars."
She knew she would probably end up going to pre cal and she would turn in whatever they had for homework and then sleep through the rest of the class after all that was what she did every other day. The really sad thing was she still got A's on all the tests and if it wasn't for the fact that her participation grade was for shit she would have almost a perfect grade in the class.
And P.E. she would go and just make sure she ran fast enough to be far enough ahead of all the populars so that she didn't have to hear a single thing that any of them said the entire class period.

Making a clicking sound with his tongue, Adam finally sat up. "Well, if that's the case, then perhaps I better leave you to it? I mean... I wouldn't risk my head getting cut off only for a cigarette now, would I? Call me a realist," he replied, shrugging his shoulders before he ran a hand through his hair. "Ah, the curse of being popular. Or was it the disease? I think it's one. Cause... well, how many of them do you think pays their teachers to give them good grades? I've always wanted to know that!"
Finishing his cigarette, Adam stomped it against the floor before he flicked it in direction of the edge of the roof. Hopefully he'd be lucky enough for it to fall down and land in someone's drink. It had actually happened before and it had proven a great laugh.
Ok, so this girl didn't like PE or the sodding brats that were comomnly knows as popular kids. She showed potential, she really did! He just didn't feel like spilling his guts to someone he hardly knew. It seemed unethical, right? To simply stuff your info down the throat of someone who proabably didn't care anyways!

"Their funeral, though you have to wonder what happens to them when they actually have to do something for themselves by themselves."the thought of one of them going for a interview without their parents and with all their major attitude problems was enough to make anyone want to laugh their guts out, but if Ariadne's sister was making it through college she had to figure that at least some of them would survive. Sadly.
She leaned back her head hitting the rooftop a little harder then she had ment for it to. But she just shook it off. "Oh and if you have seen there grades I think they stick to cake classes and then the guys coaches talk to all the teachers about how important the championships are and that they all need to pass their classes. And if they are intellegent they hide it well." The boys behind sports and the girls behind the fifty pounds of make-up and hairspray.

"I've always wondered about that! Must be a fancy theatre trick behind it, surely?" Heh, he was really pathetic. As if others wouldn't find out about him? How he was just like the people they mocked for only a few years ago... Only the difference was that he actually got good grades without doing anything extra or talking to his teachers. But he had been rather high ranked up in the kendo club, back in Japan. That was though, something he had chosen not to bring forth. Mainly because he hated that he had been that way and also because he hated that his brother was still like that. Not to mention the way his parents would look at him and say in a disappointed voice "If only you could be more responsible, like Kaoru!". Keh! He was responsible enough! It just didn't concern the things they thought it should. It didn't help with anything that Kaoru was about done with his education as a doctor, which meant he'd porbably get a great job at one of their hospitals.
By the comment "cake classes", Adam burst into laughter and turned to look at Ariadne. "I bet it would even be looked upon as a crime if any of them actually got a real A sometime, wouldn't you say?" he chuckled, leaning slightly back, supporting himself with his hands. "Can't you just imagine someone like the well-known Mr. Hudson get an A? The whole school would be in an uproar!"

Ariadne smiled "Now thats not totally fair I'm sure the A he has in Pys-ed is one hundred percent real." Being the star of the foot ball team kind of made that obvious. "And I am sure the girls have a class they can pass, now if people only got graded for lunch I am sure that would help their gpa quite a bit."She had actually gotten that agument from her sister years before when she was trying to explain why she barely had a 2.0.
"Though I do think that if anyone had over a 3.0 there would be hell to pay and the rest of the school could see their star falling from the sky faster then anything else." It was so sad. The whole system of popularity made her want to puke her guts out. It was so sickening the way people fake their entire lives and conform to some idiotic view of perfection that she would be suprised if it was real for anyone.

"Oh, that's true.. The hero of the "play with a ball" thing-team... I'd forgotten that! I tend to forget that," he said, scratching the back of his head. Football... He'd never realise the greatness of it. It was big brutes running around like mice, trying to catch a ball. And everyone loved it, and they even had their private set of barbie-dolls, cheering for them! Not that he thought that the girls on the cheerleading squad were ugly, he was a guy after all, but... bah! Shallow, selfish girls who couldn't talk about other things than hair and make-up. And, of course, the matter of who was daiting who.
"It's an evil circle, indeed," Adam nodded, licking his lips. Evil, dark and damp. "So where do you stand, hmm? As you are clearly not a Royal, what are you?" he teased, giving her shoulder a light nudge. And for some reason he was all the while confirming to himself that this didn't count as flirting. Wouldn't that be silly?

"I am a freak, only the good kind." Ariadne said simply smiling over at him. She hated everything that the royals stood for and she wanted nothing more then to see them all dead, ok not dead that would be a little harsh though she wouldn't mind if they all were on the opposite side of the world that she was."What about you, why aren't you a royal pain. Oh wait you couldn't smoke around with all that hairspay all the girls are highly flamable."
Ariadne bit her bottom lip, it was a habit whenever she was thinking. What she would do to see one of the populars up in flames condemmed by her own love of the stupid idea of beauty that was inforced by the media systems.

"And freaks are way better than royals, indeed. As for me? I dunno... I guess you could say I'm the-... other side of the scale? What they think highly of, I loathe, what I think highly of, they loathe. It's a whole big loathing deal, though I prefer to look at myself as the one with best reasons to mock them," he said after a second's thought. "According to them I'm some sort of emo rocker guy, buuuut... I wouldn't really say that. I mean, I'm betting more of those royals damage themselves more than I ever will! I mean, don't you think those girls will eventually get lung cancer or something form inhaling too much hairspray?"
There was of course, a huge reason behind the whole "rebel" thing. In the beginning, he wasn't. He was mainly one who enjoyed rock and played a lot on his guitar. But now he had tipped over on the rebel side, which was fine by him.

Ariadne thought about it for a brief moment before responding"Oh I'm sure that if they survive the culture shock of figuring out that they don't rule the real world then yes they will die of hairspray inhalation and their boyfriends will all die of make-up poisening because they made the mistake of making out with someone whose face is hidden under three inches min of chemicals. And then they can all win the darwin award for making the world a better place by their non existance." she managed to stay serious the whole time though the thought of them all dying for such stupid reasons was laughable.
"I don't know what they classify me as and I really don't care, they are all so judgemental and they always seem to be getting everything wrong. It is really quite pathetic." She sighed "Everything is about popularity for them, who your friends are, where you go shoping, what you are doing on a friday night. Its all so shallow."

"Honto!" Adam exclaimed, tilting his head backwards, laughing. This girl was only too right! Not to mention that she managed to pull of that horribly serious face too. It was about that time he realised what he had said too, which made him feel rather silly, but only silly enough for him to laugh more. "You should get some form of analyzise-award for your work here!" he managed to say, trying hard to still his laughter. But just the main thought of what she had spoken off... Heh, he'd have to remember it! Perhaps he could put the words to use in Art class afterwards? Might be!
"Shallow is what shallow do. Or... whatever!" Yeah, whatever! He didn't know a saying like that, it was mainly something that cared to drop down in his mind at that moment. And of course, he said it, even if it sounded stupid. "It's like somehow they all came to look at life as a twisted reality show, nee?"
